The Help

Today, the one I am going to introduce was named The Help. It is totally different from the ones I’ve introduced. No one was murdered, no one killed others with knife. There’s only the discrimination toward the black people which certainly killed the relation between human beings. The film is about a young white woman, Skeeter, and her relationship with two black maids. Skeeter is a journalist who decides to write a book from the point of view of the maids (referred to as "the help"). She tries to tell people about the unfair treatment those maids faces and while writing the book, Skeeter herself encounters a lot of hardships, too.  Only with love can she accomplish her dream.
This story is inspirational, in a really attractive way. The audience will never fall asleep during the movie. People who always love suspense will also enjoy it much. Through this movie, I realized that the love we all have is always the same between all the individuals, and its exchanges help us see the beauty of the lives.

Frequency

Frequency is a movie released in 2000. When you first listened to its name, you might think that it must be a totally science fiction like E.T. However, science fiction part is just a small part of the whole movie. It actually mentioned a lot about family love and a mystery of a serial killer.
There was an unearthly power which connected two different timing, and it made John able to talk to his dead father who was alive twenty years ago. John then helped his father escape from the accident, which would have killed him. They changed the past in cooperation but the unexpected consequences happened…
I like this movie very much because the family love in it really touched my heart and gave a strong desire to hug my family and tell them how glad I am to be with them all.

The Silence of the Lambs

The Silence of the Lambs was playing in the theater in 1991, when I even wasn’t born, but when I saw it this summer, its charm still made me addicted to it, like the people who saw it then. It was adapted from a novel, and the scarcely success of an adapted movie differed The Silence of the Lambs from the other movies.
It was talking about a policewoman, Clarice Starling, who was offered to investigate a case which a serial killer slaughtered women and peeled their skins off. The case was so complicated that the superior tasked Starling with interviewing Hannibal Lecter, a former psychiatrist and cannibalistic serial killer. Lector agreed to give Starling hints, but the past of her would be the deal.
The movie was fantastic, no matter the videoshooting techniques or the background music. It also led me to think about how many victims there are in the society. The victims include not only women, but also the old living by themselves and kids who can’t afford to go to school.

Changeling

Today I am going to introduce a movie which touches the audience and keeps them in suspense well, like the one I introduced last time :P). It is “Changeling”. This movie was not so famous but actually it starred Angelina Jolie. She played the main role as a single mother in this movie. She initially lived harmoniously with her son. However, her son was missing one day, and the most astonishing part is that the police men claimed that they found her son but it turned out that there was only an unfamiliar boy calling her mom and acting like he was truly her son. The mother fought against the powerful but corrupted police who hoped to reverse their image by “finding the missing kid”.It is a much more soul-searching movie than the ones I introduced before. If you are in an awful mood and just want to see movies to relax, skip it, but if you need some touching to the depth of your heart, take a look on it.

The Message

I am so glad that you like what I introduced last time :) I'd like to know more good movies from you guys, too! Today, the one I am going to share with you is called "The Message". It's actually completely different from "Identify”.The only part that is the same is the amazing plot which makes the audience so impressed. "The Message" is about several suspects who were locked by rivals in a fortress, and they were interrogated since the rivals desired to find out who the real spy was. The process made me so nervous and fascinated while the end was so moving and surprising. “The Message” is definitely the one on my favorite list, and that’s also the reason why I was so depressed after I watched another latest spy movie “The Silent War”, which was adapted from the novel written by the same author. “The Silent War” emphasized on the beautiful atmosphere but not the clever set on the plot like “The Message”.

Identity

I would like to share a movie this week as a beginning. If someone ever asked me what kind of movies I like most, I’d probably answer the suspense ones. I like the nervous atmosphere, the mystery of who the killer is and why the scary things happen. Therefore, I saw lots of movies about people dies one by one at first, and it turned out that the murderer is the one who looked most friendly or the best friend of the main character. However, I should say that because I have seen too many movies of this kind, I have become less and less astonished when I find out who the killer is. But, now I want to introduce a movies that people will never disappointed or shouted like ”come on, we all know the answer”. Its name is, “Identity”. It is about a storm made several people stocked in an old hotel and people began to die one by one (like what we suspect). Then, they suddenly found out that they all have one correspondence, they had the same birthday date. What happened next is what you have to see yourself. All I can say is that you don’t have to worry if you’ll guess who the killer is before the end!
